Great episode! I know that near death surfing πŸ„β€β™€οΈ 🌊 πŸ’€ experience personally too. Crazy Fred. I surfed a lot when I lived in San Diego. I got stuck in a rip at La Jolla Beach and went out. Going under, getting shelled by the waves rolling in and pounding me down to the sea floor. No joke! Looking up through the water, bubbles and sun is all i saw through the sandy water, and then as soon as I figured out which way is up.... Pow! Another heavy wave. Insane.... I did like Physical Ed and paralleled it for like 20 minutes to get back in. INANE! I can relate to going back to the spot to show a grateful heart and respect the moment you knew for sure that someone else was way more important than yourself. Props on a great experience shared my fellow toe hanger!! Sure miss it but, 🎢Then again, no🎢🀣
Just listened to the DOTG '78 Episode. 1st.... loved Ted and Judy so much. 2nd. Wuss. You should have put her up on your shoulders! πŸ˜† 3rd...I would have lost my entire mind at that show. Beach Boys, Linda AND DOLLY? My gosh! The Beach Boys were my favorite band in '78. I also saw them that year. My first ever concert. Disneyland, December of '78. My brother had just come back from post war Vietnam and surprised me with a trip to Disneyland. (He put me on his shoulders but, to be fair, I was only 11 so...I was light) I still remember when they began Good Vibrations i lost my mind!!! πŸ˜† GREAT F SHOW. Here was that line up... Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, Tony DeFranco and the DeFranco Family and then, The Beach Boys. I'll never forget it. They were at their height and my favorite with my fun brother (at the time when my brothers were still like brothers are suppose to be). 47 years Fred & Tava! How fantastic! You picked the best girl Fred! Now, for the love of all things rodent.... get that rat out of her garden!!! Love yous guys! Di n Bri
Hey buddy love it
Great shoe! Really good shoe!
The. Good job !!! Right Said Fred!!!
Fred my bro, Loved the bootleg podcast! The tribute to Greg Kihn was great, I remember getting to the job site in the morning and the two of us discussing that days "nugget" from "Greg's personal stash". One particular "nugget" that stands out for me was by the Allman Brothers, it was a version of Midnight Rider where the piano player played the lead guitar part. It was incredible! When the song finished, the gal that was Greg's side kick said "oh my god, that was so good, I need a cigarette!" Thanks for rebooting the memories buddy. Keep 'em coming! Pete
